Partnerships with the Guyana Lady Jags

The Lady Jags welcome partnerships with your business to ensure the success of the Guyana Lady Jags and Guyana Women Football Development.

This program which started internationally in June of 2009 has seen a success rate in terms of awareness and results way above expectation, to date. The program is a model based on what other countries worldwide have been doing, including those close to Guyana as in Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica & Puerto Rico.

One of the main reasons being the ability to utilize the Diaspora and support of the local football fraternity to accomplish the program's objectives.

The program to date, consist of a very professional staff who are voluntarily giving of their time and expertise, setting a standard of professionalism to be emulated by other sports disciplines. The team is comprised of a mixture of overseas and locally based players, the majority on Football scholarships in the USA and Canada. The Guyana Football Federation has been very supportive with an expenditure of $200,000 US from December 2009 to July 2010.

Based on the team's success, the estimated budget is approximately $75,000 US for July through October 2010, for the team to participate in the CONCACAF Gold Cup finals in Cancun, Mexico. The CONCACAF Gold Cup is the last stage of qualifying for the FIFA Women World Cup Finals to be held in Germany , June 2011.  The qualified teams for the CONCACAF Gold Cup finals are USA, Mexico, Canada, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago and Haiti.

We therefore appeal to you become a Partner of this program, help shape the future for Guyana's youth and sports while at the same time providing academic opportunities. Be enlightened by reviewing our Business Presentation and Partnership Opportunities with the Lady Jags to the left on this page.

Thanking you for your support,
Guyana Women Football Committee.
